Someone tried breaking into Narrowboat Bluebell last night whilst we were all fast asleep in our cabins... 😳 This wasn't the post that I wanted to write to accompany this propper lush photo of the Bluebells taken by our pal Ed yesterday 😍

And on the sixth day... Thanks for all the lovely messages and comments about the attempted break-in last night! We're glad to say that it hasn't dampened our love for this incredible city one little bit ✌️

We've untied Narrowboat Bluebell's ropes again and set her free on another adventure✌️ Just passed possibly the most colourful lock on the system 😍 Castlefield Junction, here we come 😊

The Trent & Mersey Canal and the former Prices National Teapot works at Trubshawe Cross, Stoke-on-Trent... I love this old chestnut - wherever we cruise, there is always one who likes to make others belly chuckle by either nicking or tippexing over the 'C' of Canal Street 😂

We've throughly enjoyed our week moorning at Westport Lake in Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Ohh, to be in England on a spring afternoon in May! 😊 The canals come alive with the gentle awakening of nature and of narrowboats and their crews, while the air is filled with the sweet melody of birdsong and the scent of Mayflower.

"At one point it felt like we were moored in a 'Darling Buds of May' episode, with cockerels crowing in one of the gardens, Ma bringing us our some grub to eat whilst sat on the roof in the sun, and the sweet sound of nature just unfurling all around us 😊"

Afternoon Canal & River Trust West Midlands, our lad Bob was just cycling along the Caldon Canal just down from Milton and said the towpath is closed? We just check the stoppages and notices for him, but can't find anything. Any idea?
