Amazing to see 13 butterfly species at Shrewsbury Park today including 📷 of mating Ringlets, Marbled White and Large Skipper. Relaxed mowing over last 5 years has seen many more butterflies here with over 1000 Meadow Browns counted on last years monitoring transect. 👏

The new butterfly garden at Beckton Park is looking amazing thanks to Newham London 💙. Variety of flowers and shrubs provide nectar, foodplants and shelter. Small White's recorded nectaring on Verbena. Great place to relax and connect with nature! Butterfly Conservation 🦋

First record for Brown Hairstreak in LB Hackney added on iRecord from Allens Gardens! Great to see more records popping up indicating this priority species is spreading into inner London. The site is near a railway line which could be used as a habitat pathway. Stock 📷 Adam Gor
