Snow Valley webcams are currently down due to power loss. CalFire reported the #LineFire activity during the night was moderated by smoke & cooler temps. However, the fire expanded on the north and east sides due to runs driven by slopes and vegetation.

CalFire has reported the #LineFire activity was less intense overnight due to cooler weather & good moisture recoveries. Today, cooler temps & smoke shading will moderate fire growth. Our three properties - Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain - have remained untouched.

The #LineFire was active in the early morning hours today (Sunday) due to a dry airmass in the upper elevations. Light rain is possible later today/tomorrow. Snow Valley, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain remain safe.

SR-38 & SR-18 through Running Springs have reopened. SR-330 remains closed until further notice due to the #LineFire, which has caused significant damage requiring extensive repairs. The impact on road conditions for the start of winter in Nov/Dec is currently uncertain.

Big Bear's trusted local meteorologist, ⛈ Bensweather predicts a cold front will bring scattered showers today. Snow Summit/Bear Mountain will see light rain, but Snow Valley might get up to half an inch, which is good for #LineFire conditions.

This weekend's winter job fair will take place as scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the BBMR HR Office (41922 Fox Farm Road) from 8AM-noon with full- and part-time positions available in multiple departments starting at $19/hr.

Bear Mountain Golf Course, along with the driving range and practice area, will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18. All 2024 Golf Season Passes are now active again, and the Pro Shop is taking tee time reservations.

Bear Mountain Golf Course reopens today. Cooler temps over the #LineFire are bringing up moisture levels in the vegetation. There was minimal fire growth overnight. Firefighters are strengthening control lines and mopping up hot spots, with containment now at 50%.
