I am thrilled to share that the 1st paper out of my PhD project is out in ACS Catalysis! Together with @Phebe_v_l and Lars Killian we found that the dinuclear CuBPMAN complex behaves quite differently than its mononuclear analogue in the electrocatalytic ORR.
Although our focus is on bimetallics, sometimes we stumble upon monometallics that are simply too awesome to not explore further. Errikos Kounalis found the first example: Pendulum‐like Hemilability in a Ti‐based Frustrated Lewis Trio: chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…😍 1/n
Our latest paper on frustrating not two, but three atoms in a 'Frustrated Lewis Trio' is out now in Chemical Science. Fantastic work by Errikos Kounalis who spearheaded this challenging project! pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
I am thrilled to share that our story on remakably stable dicopper carbenes is now out as accepted article in ChemEurJ: Chemistry - A European Journal!
Arguably the coolest chemistry we’ve uncovered yet ChemRxiv, especially given that it’s with just one metal!! 🤯Fantastic work by Stas Melnikovᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠ and first of many collabs with Baik Group | Hydride as a Leaving Group in Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution | - go.shr.lc/3ycdkeL
Really exited that my first (co-)corresponding author paper is now out in ACS Catalysis! Based on the reviews we added a DFT-study that provided even more insight into the mechanism of Cu-catalyzed formic acid dehydrogenation. A valuable addition to the original draft.
I'm really happy that my dicobalt work with Daniel Broere has made it into Organometallics! Thanks also to our collaborators Arun Asundi and Ritimukta Sarangi at SLAC! Want to see what the PNNP expanded pincer ligand can do with cobalt? Check it out: doi.org/10.1021/acs.or…
