It’s “GOING TO HURT” an awful lot more if we don’t resolve the crisis in retention of healthcare staff. You can’t have an NHS with no doctors or nurses. In my books I was paid 25% more in real terms than junior doctors today - pay restoration is crucial and urgent.

The new JCR is out from Clarivate. Interesting changes for the latest report - washout of indexing changes sees IF fall for many journals in surgery. IF now reported to 1dp only. Colorectal Disease IF = 3.4. We have ⬆️ rank to 39/212! Q1 for surgery for 3 consecutive years.
