#toast2teachers A special thought for those teachers with leadership responsibilities in these uncertain days. Maintaining a positive culture may never have been more difficult, yet those whom I know are doing it!

#toast2teachers It occurs to me that ‘on the other side’ we’ll all be a bit clearer about the difference between schooling and learning. Let’s promise not to let the opportunity go to waste! (Exclamation mark courtesy D.Trump)

#toast2teachers As we get ready for the new term in NSW- while others have already started, check out erebb.org for some interesting resources on learning and wellbeing, with a worldwide perspective.

#toast2teachers While we’re celebrating the generosity and professionalism of teachers, let’s not forget the secretaries, bursars, aides, cleaners, groundspeople, admin assistants, and all those others who are so essential to making schools work. Say thanks.

#toast2teachers As a profession, teachers have shown they are up for big challenges. How about this one? Make sure our graduates value reason, spirit and emotional intelligence over the narcissism and the deliberate ignorance shown by some of our leaders.

#MusicFromTheHomeFront While we celebrate all this amazing talent, lets remember all the other artists with no work and no government assistance.

RATs are in high supply in Holland - and only EUR2.89 a box! They are everywhere- servos, supermarkets etc and often easy to find at checkouts (where lollies normally are, which is a public health double win!) #auspol #COVID19

For those reflexively decrying Grace's behaviour as disrespectful or inappropriate, stop for a moment and consider which of these two people is displaying sincerity, honesty, consistency and integrity. And then ask yourself why you have a problem with that.

Mid-winter, when the Labor cabinet has settled down to work, I'd like to see Anthony Albanese deliver a "state of the nation" address. Nothing grand and formal, just a talk to the people about where we are and where we're going. Maybe RT if you agree ?

Two years ago, I won with 73% of the vote. I could easily have done so again. But it would have required that I go along with Trump’s lies about the 2020 election. That was a path I would not take. No House seat is more important than the principles we are all sworn to protect.
