When people don’t want to get out of their cars, that’s a sign we’re not building environments where people actually want to be.

👉Same road 🛣️

To clarify the Daily Mail’s position, suburban cul-de-sacs that prevent rat-running (an LTN in all but name) are great.

If, however, you want to prevent rat-running on your urban street from, you’re part of a sinister plot to ‘restrict fweeedom!’

Five years since Hammersmith Bridge closed to cars!

Lot of people dunking on this, but what I think they're missing.. 11 miles across London is driving within a mile or two of a million-plus homes.

That's going to take 90 minutes *anywhere*, longer in rural places w/ bad roads. Speed is inversely proportional to density.

Can confirm, from the number of cars and vans we pedal past past every day - driving in London is a nightmare.

Do us all a favour and don’t, if you can avoid it.

For a cleaner, greener city.
