This week Mary M. Bethune Elem was short, but GREAT! We held a schoolwide pep rally for our TOTY, POTY, and ROTY! Congratulations to Ms. Jackson TOTY, Ms. Shields POTY, and Ms, Bonner ROTY! They bring the BESt to BES. Our Bethunites also enjoyed clubs!!!! 💙🐾 #CatchingTheWavetoExcellence

This week Mary M. Bethune Elem was nothing short of amazing! Our Bethunites showcased their talents in the phenomenal production of “The Wiz- Welcome to Atlanta the Remix.” We also celebrated meeting our goals in our Catching the Wave to Excellence push with a popping Bubble Party! #TheBES

Saturday Mary M. Bethune Elem we celebrated our first 3-5th math focused Saturday Day session! We also wrapped up our school wide Double Good fundraiser! We raised $21,087!!! #ProudMary💙🐾

Providing our Bethunites with as many opportunities to win academically is important! Today’s Saturday school was ELA focused on RI1, RL1, and writing! Thanks to the BESt staff for continuing to make it happen.💙🐾

This week Mary M. Bethune Elem we witnessed the start of a phenomenon- of course the solar eclipse, Hour of Power small groups, Kindergarten’s field trip to Southern Bell Farm, and we celebrated the BESt paras and Assistant Principal! #CatchingtheWavetoExcellence

Today Mary M. Bethune Elem Saturday School was full of engagement! We are seeing students grow in math and ELA- our BETHUNITES are better for it! Huge thanks to the BESt staff for making it happen! We also had a special guest hang out with us today.

This week Mary M. Bethune Elem was EPIC!!! Our students have worked hard setting goals- academic, discipline, attendance, iReady, and GMAS! They have had over 55 Hours of Power and we Caught the Wave 🌊 to Excellence today to celebrate!!! #TheBESTday

This week Mary M. Bethune Elem and every week I feel loved and appreciated. I’m happy to serve the BESt staff. students & community. The letters from all the kids and teachers really warmed my heart. 🥺I love a good gift, but those words will stay with me forever! Thank you 💙🐾

Day 3-The BES Airlines took Mary M. Bethune Elem to Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵! Teachers and staff enjoyed hibachi for lunch, music, and a wishing lantern activity. Our students participated in writing teacher notes on a wishing tree and hung them! Tomorrow is all about LETRS.💙🐾

Day 4- Today Mary M. Bethune Elem we visited the beautiful island of Hawaii 🌺! Our celebration was centered around a LETRS luau. Faculty and staff enjoyed phonics kits, sounds walls, smoothies, Hawaiian cuisine and SOR shirts!

This week Mary M. Bethune Elem has been full of LOVE and EXCELLENCE 💙! I am so grateful to have served the BES staff, students, and community! This experience will be with me forever! Thank YOU💙🐾
