The reversal of Roe will be recorded in the history books in the same nauseous tones as decisions like Dred Scott, Korematsu, Plessy, and Buck. This is an institution that has legitimized slavery, concentration camps, and eugenics. This decision is the same.

In keeping with my campaign promise, my Administration is announcing a plan to give working and middle class families breathing room as they prepare to resume federal student loan payments in January 2023. I'll have more details this afternoon.

#AU incoming and current students just walked out of convocation and joined #AUStaff on the picket line. We really do have the best students. Fair wages. Fair practices. #changecantwait #AUWelcome #seiu #AUstrike

Stop telling Jewish people to get over what Kanye said and that he’s mentally ill and not serious. Stop telling Black people his t-shirt was a joke. Antisemitism is real. Anti-Blackness is real. Words matter. Words are what start unwarranted hate towards people.

88% of evangelical Christians voted for Herschel Walker, not Warnock, the candidate who has devoted his adult life to Jesus Christ. Let that sink in.

🚨#PublicationAlert🚨 "The Not-So-Silent “Majority”: An Automated Content Analysis of Anti-Government Online Communities" in Perspectives on Terrorism (Perspectives on Terrorism) led by the brilliant Bethany Leap (she/her). Link: pt.icct.nl/article/not-so… #Jan6th #ContentAnalysis #OpenAccess

We used automated content analysis to examine novel data from two social media platforms and describe: 1) Key themes and topics in the period leading up to the January 6th attack, and 2) How those themes and topics changed over time.

Michael Becker (@m_h_becker) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Specific themes: - On more mainstream forums, topics included the 2020 election, concerns with 'democrat rule', social policies, voter fraud, and censorship. - On extreme forums, notable topics included election conspiracies, pre-election coverage, fake news, and civil war.

Michael Becker (@m_h_becker) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Other Findings: - Themes on Far Right forums closely followed current events as well as conversations occurring in more mainstream online communities. - Users on both platforms appeared to share a lexicon for to describe their ideological opponents and allies.

I cannot speak highly enough of Michael Becker as a colleague, coauthor, and friend. So excited to see all of our hard work come to fruition and to finally be able to share it with y’all!

For Gov Walker to ignore 15 yrs of: School shootings Climate disasters White nationalism Systematic racism Opioid abuse Rolling back rights inc abortion Escalating college tuition Mental health crisis & blame indoctrination for #GenZ activism is profoundly & willfully ignorant.

If you’ve been manipulated into believing that this is unsolvable or unavoidable, it’s past time to face reality. This is not normal. This is not inevitable. It’s a policy choice. It simply does not have to be this way.

Tonight in Maine, more people were killed by one man with a gun than in the entire last year in the state. If you haven’t been impacted yet by gun violence, God bless you. But sadly it’s coming - to your state, community, school. sunjournal.com/2023/10/16/fbi…
