I'll be speaking at the 2024 GAME conference in March this year, discussing how we have increased Balgonie's grey partridges, and what we want to achieve next (hint: it's big!). For tickets, see below #FarmingWithNature GWCT Scotland PARTRIDGE network

🌍WORLD CURLEW DAY🌍 We are lucky enough to get regular views of Curlews here in Chichester Harbour. But these iconic birds are under threat. Red-listed, their numbers in the UK have declined by 50% in the last 25 years. #WorldCurlewDay

Changes in invertebrates on farmland over 50 years in Sussex. Shout out to co-authors Ryan Burrell, those not on X - Steve Moreby, Nicholas Aebischer and Chris Wheatley and especially in memory of Dick Potts - who started the Sussex Study many years ago.

The best place to relax is near water. After just 2 minutes of viewing water outdoors, blood pressure and heart rate drop. It's more calming to look at a lake, pool, or stream than trees or grass. Beaches are popular for a reason. Wider bodies of water bring more tranquility.

I recently cycled around Suffolk, my home county, keeping a wildlife list along the way - 250 miles, 117 bird sp., 18 butterfly sp., 14 mammal sp., and a few dodgy tan lines later, some thoughts and highlights are in the thread below.
