1/2. Went our for a lunch with 13 others yesterday, bit of a disaster from the off. Had to prebook, of course, when the organiser rang to say he hadn't had a reply to his pre-order of food email they said they had no booking and pub was full. Eventually did find it all.

2/2 Food took ages to arrive especially between courses and was average to be polite, even the portions were all over the place. When one person politely complained about the food and waits they were told "There are other places to eat"!! Think the Management need to get a grip.

Attended the 180th annual Chertsey Agricultural Show today, we are members. Dearth of entries in the fruit, veg and plant classes tells its own story of this year's growing conditions.

It was the 180th annual Chertsey Agricultural Show this weekend, the only Agricultural Show left inside the M25. Believed to be the second oldest in the country still going.

Down on our allotment watering this morning, so I walk into our 6mx6m brassica cage and suddenly get a stabbing pain on my shoulder blade. A European Hornet got me, first time, and they are Painful!

This year has been so dry in this area but what I cannot understand is that so many use a rose on their watering can or their hose when watering. It's only needed for seeds or very young plants. For growing plants remove the rose and water the plant not the soil.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Trumps two week deadline end today. So what is he going to do now Putin has given him two fingers? If he doesn't react seriously then the world knows he is all hot air.

This is interesting, remember it was Labour that changed the law to allow private health care into the NHS in the first place. facebook.com/share/r/166J4a…

Can tell autumn has arrived. Found Green Bush Crickets in our Bathroom the last two days. Come in off our old wisteria that is across the front of the house.
