Today we commemorate Bloody Sunday and the fight for Civil Rights and the attack on the progress made. It is a day I think about my hometown of Selma and my uncle a member of the Courageous Eight who risked life and lively hood to register Blacks to vote to get access democracy.

My prayer today is that my grandchildren and their children are not still fighting for civil rights. While acknowledging it is inevitable and they lust created to continue to fight for our collective humanity.
