Interesting perspective on the potential of ensemble modelling and other ways to understand impacts of multiple stressors in ecological research

We argue that stressors should enter models at the scale of their mechanistic impact, not where they have their ultimate effect (eg model climate as a physiological-scale impact with emergent effects at the population scale rather than as a term applied to a population model).

In our new paper, we suggest a bunch of ideas about how to better understand the impacts of multiple (interacting) stressors. The biggest one: that stressors shouldn't be classified by their source (eg pollution), but rather by how they impact ecosystems rdcu.be/cyjQK
