We've got some extra funding which has enabled us to reduce the price for our Arnold Bennett Day on 17 May. The fee is now £35 for whole day's worth of AB-related activities

Went on a walk around Burslem cemetery with Paul Ruane. Saw Arnold Bennett’s grave. The tour was by Mervyn Edwards. It was wonderful. Do not forget you can still get tickets to the ArnoldBennettSociety AB day on Saturday

Born #OTD 1867, Arnold Bennett (d 1931). At one stage, editor of Woman mag, before committing to writing full time. Famous for tales from The Potteries – Anna of the Five Towns, the Old Wives Tale, also demonstrated a light touch with the almost farcical The Card (Penguin 1975).
