Yet we have skinny guys that can not lift very much, throw baseballs over 100mph, jumping out of the building in basketball, hit golf’s balls 300 yards plus and so on. Absolute force is one the most overrated trait in athletic development. Not unimportant, but less than many say

Maybe it’s all neurologic, maybe fascial, maybe different people use different combinations. Clearly more complex than we think, and definitely not always primarily strength.

Certainly can be. Rate coding may play a roll, so complex. Fascial contractions and energy transfer probably a piece. We want it to be simple, but that’s why the same program does not get the same results with all athletes. Also what makes our jobs challenging and fun IMO.

-Resistance training was found to have the greatest impact on overall cognitive improvement and inhibitory control. -Aerobic exercise showed the strongest effect on memory function. Physical and mental training (e.g., Tai Chi) provided the most significant improvement in
