“We are removing those with no right to be here” The majority of these are voluntary returns, around 50% of which are classed as Other Verified Returns in which the Home Office played no active role. More smoke and mirrors from the Home Office that brought you “Smash the Gangs”

Comparisons to Nazi Germany are a cheap attack that Labour have form for. In less than a year they have lost the argument. Richard Hermer’s track record of embarrassing the Government with poor decisions should seal his fate. His sacking in the reshuffle should be inevitable.

Labour will tell you they’re busy smashing the gangs. Can’t tell you how many of the 30,000+ people who’ve illegally entered the country since they came into Government have been removed though. They cannot, or will not, give a straight answer on any aspect of border control.

On the day Richard Hermer, the Attorney General, is pilloried for his absurd Nazi comparison, Femi tactlessly suggests criticism of “Turkish” barbers by “the right”could lead to Kristallnacht. Labour launched a crackdown by the NCA on barbershops in March nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk/news/operation…

We cannot afford to wait nine years to reach 3% of GDP on Defence. Excluding our nuclear deterrent, we are one of the lowest spenders in NATO relative to our GDP. If we don’t reach 3% by the end of this Parliament our national security will be at grave risk from hostile states.

Another 1,000+ migrants cross the channel. That’s another 1,000 homes given away by this Labour Government. The Border Security Command has been an ineffective failure. No gangs have been smashed. The Government has no credible plan to stop these boats.

Having asked the Government extensive questions about broadening the F-35 fleet to include F-35A and F-35C variants without any suggestion that they were seriously considering it, it is fascinating to see The Times suggest the SDR will make the case for F-35A. How many though?

Tomorrow we see the Strategic Defence Review. Whilst there will undoubtedly be a focus upon drones, the RAF is likely just as vulnerable to this type of attack today, not in a few years once the SDR has been implemented. It will be interesting to hear what measures we’re taking.

Gerry Adams. Shamima Begum. Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man. Lord Hermer has spent much of his life defending those who hate Britain. Why on earth did Starmer hand-pick him to be Attorney General?

No sooner has Keir Starmer announced that we’ll increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP as part of his ‘NATO first’ approach, Mark Rutte announces that it will now be 3.5% on hard defence and an additional 1.5% on security, doubling the ask. Has anyone seen the Chancellor yet?

I’m old enough to remember when Keir Starmer claimed he’d “negotiated the 25% tariff down to zero”. Now the White House announces they’ll stay at 25%. “When Labour negotiate, Britain loses” latest. gov.uk/government/new…

“A settlement that fails to address our inflation and pay pressures flat would entail stark choices about which crimes we no longer prioritise. The policing and NCA workforce would also shrink each year.” Labour have made bold pledges about policing. Now they can’t deliver them.

In April, Zia Yusuf pledged that Reform UK’s full policy document and detailed, comprehensive deportation strategy would be published in May. So where is it Zia? Is it that Reform won’t publish it, or can’t publish it?
