Absolutely devastated by the loss of Rob Burrow. You were an inspiration long before your diagnosis and inspired millions more since. An absolute hero, a warrior, a legend. Words aren’t enough to explain how much you meant to people. You’ll never be forgotten. Sleep well Rob πŸ’™πŸ’›

668 shirts in total from virtually every club in the land, some very special comments as well. Well wishers can still leave flowers at the John Holmes statue over the next fortnight, we are open 8am until 8pm each day

All players at the club who wear the famous 7 shirt worn by Rob Burrow will have a special reminder of the legendary star when they play for Leeds In line with the wishes of Rob & his family, the number will not be retired but instead be a lasting tribute across all Rhinos teams

This is the right decision and needed making. I was a Smith supporter for a long time but enough was enough, things weren’t looking like getting better. The club now has to get it right, McDermott had to go when he did, but we haven’t got it right since and it’s been 6/7 years!

'Rob was such a family man in every sense of the word. He idolised his children' Lindsey Burrow told #BBCBreakfast it was a 'privilege to be Rob's wife' as she paid tribute to the Leeds Rhinos rugby league legend and MND campaigner who died earlier this month
