Nice to see some deep-blue skies, reflecting lowering humidity behind a cold front, after a week and a half of hot, steamy and stormy weather! NBC4 Columbus
So grateful to celebrate my 45th year NBC4 Columbus with the absolute best colleagues and friends! My first weathercast was Saturday evening, July 12, 1980, with the latest in high-tech magic markers and magnetic numbers. I greatly appreciate the years in the central Ohio community!
We have had an unusual number of days with rain (~60%) with scattered downpours the past several months in central Ohio. NBC4 Columbus nbc4i.com/weather/columb…
Two clusters of strong storms with torrential rain, frequent lightning and gusty winds feeding off the high heat and humidity moving across the Columbus area through 9 p.m. NBC4 Columbus
We are having the most humid summer on record in Ohio and surrounding states. Corn sweat, coupled with a stagnant southerly flow from the Gulf and Atlantic, amplified the muggy factor. nbc4i.com/weather/how-do… NBC4 Columbus
We appreciated the opportunity to play a summer concert at Creekside at the Village, celebrating 15 years as a community ensemble that performs historical melodies for audiences, from universities to our senior communities. NBC4 Columbus
A future service dog, Linbe, visited NBC4 Columbus this morning with Canine Companions! We enjoyed our puppy with a purpose, Paris, who is getting ready for Game Day. Our next service dog in training will join us in the spring of 2026.
Early autumn is normally a quiet time of the year, but occasionally ingredients come together to produce a tornado in Ohio. nbc4i.com/weather/five-y… NBC4 Columbus #tornado #ohioweather
Cooper is enjoying the fantastic stretch of crisp autumn weather, two weeks before the official start of fall. Typical of September, we will flip back to a summer-like pattern during the second half of the week, minus the humidity. NBC4 Columbus
An air quality alert is in effect for the Columbus area until 8 p.m. due to the buildup of ground-level ozone in a stagnant, sunny pattern. Conditions will gradually improve later this weekend, with rain showers later Sunday and next week. NBC4 Columbus
Cooper taking in a summerlike last evening of September. Beautiful early fall weather! NBC4 Columbus
Crisp fall evening and weekend, the last in October. Frost will form overnight in most areas and the leaves are turning! NBC4 Columbus
Winter is inching a little closer, with snow expected across the northern tier of states, and lake-effect snow showers late next weekend. Here are my thoughts on the winter. NBC4 Columbus ://www.nbc4i.com/weather/when-will-it-snow-in-ohio-updated-2025-26-winter-weather-outlook/
First 1” snowfall of the season clinging to the trees and leaf-covered lawns in Hilliard! Less than a week ago, it was almost 70; this morning 27 deg. NBC4 Columbus
First time with a clear view of the northern lights after all these years! (NW Franklin Co. between Dublin and Hilliard) NBC4 Columbus
Looks to be an active weather week during the busiest travel period of the year, with rain followed by a wintry holiday weekend, and possibly some snow. I included an update on the long-range winter forecast. nbc4i.com/weather/thanks… NBC4 Columbus
Snow is forecast for Ann Arbor later in the game, with up to 6" early Sunday there. This is the 75th anniversary of the greatest snowstorm during The Game! nbc4i.com/sports/buckeye… NBC4 Columbus
