A great start to the day at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Networking event. Thank you to Barron McCann for hosting the event , where we could meet new people , link with new companies and build a larger network of organisations that we can work with. The Bemrose School

YMCA - thank you for a warm welcome to your fantastic community hub at Parcel Terrace. It was wonderful to hear about the services that you offer to support the community, from Education and employment , to support for parents and activities including arts , music and IT.

Day 2 of Year 6 Career week : A day exploring the University of Derby : **taking part in a Treasure Hunt 🪙🧐 ** Analysing fingerprints within a Forensic Science taster session🔍💅 ** Interviewing current students ❓❓

Day 3 of Year 6 Careers Week : 🧑‍💼 👨‍🍳 🛫 A day with the British Army, where the pupils could put their teamwork, communication and problem solving skills into action......whilst learning about the 200 jobs that the Army have to offer.🤔

🧑‍🔬 👨‍💻 🧑‍💼 Day 4 of Year 6 Careers Week 💂 👩‍🚀 👷‍♂️ **A visit from the Museum of Making 🔧 💡 **A workshop based on key employability skills needed for the caring profession. 🥼 ❤️ ** A quiz - focusing on employment across Derby. 🙋‍♀️ 🙋‍♂️ ** Graduation assembly 🎓 👍

🦺 🎻 Day 5 of Year 6 Careers Week 🧑‍🔬 🧑‍🦼 ** The pupils were tasked to create a 'careers game' for Year 1 and 2 to enjoy and learn from. 🎲 🎮 ** A visit from Barron McCann who set them a challenge to create a 'pop up business'. ** To design a comic strip based on saving water

🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓Year 6 pupils ' Graduate' from the University of Derby 'Primary Explorers programme'. A big thank you to the University for a fantastic opportunity, our pupils had the biggest smile on their faces. A wonderful event which was enjoyed by pupils , their families and staff. 🎓🎓
