Chelsea Hts 3rd graders use a solar filter to safely view the sun 🌞 first with their eyes, and then through the telescope 🔭 “This reminds me of the Como Planetarium!” They said Yes! We see every Saint Paul Public Schools 3rd grader, & so does the Planetarium. Connections! @SPPS_Science
Ice is not nice! Belwin turns snowshoes into ice shoes w/ metal cleats! Daytons Bluff 4th & 5th graders crossed the slippery ice with confidence. Too bad we only have a dozen pairs. Icy trails (rain followed by cold) could be a new climate normal. Climate Generation @SPPS_Science

It is *so wonderful* to get students into MN Astronomical Society’s observatory at Belwin Conservancy 5th graders took pictures of sun spots causing amazing Northern Lights in the news this week. Those spots looks small, but each spot is the size of the entire planet earth 🌏🤯
Our Journey North Ed Tulip Test Garden Tulips emerged on Monday 3/27! Nearly 2 weeks earlier than average of April 8.
A murmuration of about 500 starlings near Belwin Conservancy. While starlings are a destructive, invasive bird species in Minnesota, their aerial maneuvers are impressive. See more murmurations here: youtu.be/V4f_1_r80RY?si…
