I planned a training ride for hudad with a rendezvous at Floors Castle. He's arrived, so we're sampling goodies from the Café 😋😋 I can recommend the cheese scones 😁😁

Good morning and a happy Thursday to all 😘. I had a lovely bimble to the gates of Floors Castle, then some off-lead time by the River Tweed with humum while hudad packed up the car (and his cycle) for our journey to Masham. Hudad is doing a 56-mile event there on Saturday. 🚲

I wouldn't eat my bacon & scrambly eggs this morning. I get a bit anxious when hoos are packing up all our things. We stopped for lunch at the Running Fox in Longhoughton. Beef pie 🥧 is deeelicious. I ate so much that hudad had to order a 2nd piece!

Whoooo hooo, my hudad is doing his longest event at 56 miles and the event with the most climbs...4,000 feet. Yikes!!!! Go well, hudad, and be safe xxxx

So near yet so far! After 45 miles, the weather turned so horrible, wet, cold, misty. Hudad's hands were so cold he couldn't use his brakes down some very steep hills! So, after 3900ft of climbing and just a few miles to go, he was picked up by the rescue truck. He's safe!
