I've had 6 queens from Black Mountain Honey this year and been happy with them. One was killed by my bastard colony, but others all accepted and laying well. The most frustrating bit is that 4 of the 6 lost their paint in the first week. Easy fix though #beekeeping #beekeepershour

🐝#BeekeepersHour My first year I bought in Queens but am now on F2 generation which are indeterminate some have the good traits of their mother but one or two have produced some rather aggressive colonies which I am weeding out I guess it trial and error another lesson learned that's beekeeping

🐝#BeekeepersHour Still supers on, mostly because I‘m on holiday, but brambles still going when I left albeit very slow income wise and most capped.

🐝#BeekeepersHour Took 19kg last week and looks like I may get a late crop as supers on at least 3 hives close to being capped.

🐝#BeekeepersHour I let them do some of the cleanup (and the ants!) and then finish the rest. So technically it's a bit of a shared responsibility but I feel like I do most of the heavy lifting!
