This week, I joined union leaders and activists at the White House for a critically important discussion about retirement security and supporting labor.

Pensions must be protected in order to give workers the dignified retirement that they deserve!

An incredibly important step in the right direction to provide our students with the filling, nutritious meals that that they need in order to thrive inside the classroom and out. And we will continue advocating for healthy meals and high nutrition standards.

What a joyful experience to explore the AP course on African-American history with Antoinette Dempsey-Waters. Not only does she teach the class in VA, she helped develop the curriculum!

Every student deserves the chance to take this fantastic, transformational course.

This is a huge win! The Biden Administration and U.S. Department of Labor expanded overtime protections to more workers across the country. It's now possible for more education support professionals like custodians, food service workers, and office admins to get paid for the overtime they work.

I am glad to be at the The White House today to lift up the importance of pensions, in the private sector as well as public—and to acknowledge the tremendous work Joe Biden's administration has done to protect pensions and support working people!

After receiving nearly 250,000 comments from students, families, educators and advocates, U.S. Department of Education has reaffirmed that protection from sex discrimination means protection from gender identity discrimination too.

Our students are both freer and safer thanks to this action.
