There was so much excellent information to take in during 𝗗𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗶𝗻’s deep dive into the 4 Pillars of Learning at Lakeview Senior College yesterday. Responsive, adaptive teaching needs to be built upon the strong foundations of interactive, explicit, structured lessons.

How do you collate and informally share Science of Learning content with staff? I’m looking for accessible ways to engage good teachers who don’t actively seek to extend their knowledge. ✅ 10-15% across it ➡️➡️➡️70-80% passive with potential 🤷10-15% resistant to change

Had the kids try to convince me the game is ‘knots and crosses’ today. More than a few of them in a Year 5 class. They were flabbergasted when I explained what noughts means. It was a knotty issue to resolve as they took some convincing.

It’d be interesting to see what the rates of ADHD, mental illness and learning disabilities are among those unstable parents and also their kids. I’d imagine there’d be a notable correlation. Without significant protective factors, these conditions can create turmoil.
