Very cool! New water bus service coming soon. Would be amazing if would get a dock at Elmwood Park.

My favourite musical discovery of the last year was seeing Noah Derksen at The Goodwill Social Club. Here's Noah's live concert at the West End Cultural Centre that dropped yesterday.

Politics will consistently trump ideology. We could have had the Kelowna accord in 2006, but the NDP brought down Martin's minority govt, and ushered in the Harper years.

Every downtown intersection is a struggle where suburban councillors block safety for the people who live nearby to secure shorter commute times for the people who don’t.

Today a driver nearly killed me on a painted bike lane because he was coming out of a drive through holding a hamburger and didn't look. Now a city councillor referred to people who choose bikes for transportation as 'bike nazis'. What the actual? Not ok,

Super disappointed that Councillor Wyatt characterized the delegates advocating today in committee as “bike Nazi” I hope he is reprimanded for this characterization

It's funny because in any news story where the experts and evidence all support something, it's really important for local media to make it seem like there's two sides to the issue.

Stop quoting and amplifying the ignorant in an effort to be 'balanced'.

A key part of fixing our healthcare system is to listen to the people who see problems directly, and then respond quickly. Too often I've seen healthcare professionals point out a weakness, and then solutions come 2 years later with the RHA & Shared Health unwilling to address.

My piece in this morning's Free Press:
'Manitoba's surprisingly anti-climate government'
Those who want serious action on climate change in our province will need to mobilize: we're not getting that leadership from the Kinew govt.

I’ve been a skeptic on the gas tax cut, but I’ve come around now that I see how much savings it represents for the typical Manitoba family

Of course they are. Manitoba's NDP Roads cost money to build and maintain. By not collecting fuel tax, you're taking funds that should have gone to education, health care, and social supports to benefit wealthy Manitobans the most.

Thinking Fast and Slow was a life changing book for many of us. I'm appreciative that I was able to learn from them.

Ten years ago the City of Winnipeg removed a vehicle lane on Sherbrook Street and introduced a protected bike lane. Since then, it has blossomed into a neighbourhood commercial high street. Signs are up for a major new mixed-use development that will continue that growth.
