Trying to stay dry. Bylaw continues to impound people s tents. Even in this weather. As a sick joke a Bylaw officer impounded a tent fly. Not the tent just the fly.

Some people believe that more housing is being added so that there are more homes. The truth is the new housing is being occupied by the Tennant s of the old buildings because they are being torn down. There is no new housing.

It's not pretty. There is no home and garden style. What can someone possibly organize packing it around every 12 hours then guarding it then possibly having it impounded by Bylaw? Your life ? Kk

The crime rate in this city is driven by the way the city enforces its laws. True story.

Bylaw will use any excuse to impound your property. It doesn't matter if your packed up and ready. They had a problem with my cart being on the street. How the hell else am I supposed to move it? Airmail? For this I had my belongings impounded?

Update .....the police did not take the money. They left my personal effects behind which is uncommon. While they took my other property they left my money. The money was unfortunately stolen from where they left it. It was personal property on me. It shouldn't have been left.

Should I risk staying dry and loosing everything by keeping my tent up? Or should I get it all and myself soaked and stay that way with a wet tent and blankets to sleep in but at least get to keep it? Aren't you glad you don't have to make this decision everytime it rains?

Bylaw is a useless answer to a multi complexity of a problem. Tearing down tents every day and repeating the process.The waste. It goes to show how little actual thinking goes deep into the laws of society. Ignorant bliss. Fear isn't going to solve the housing crisis.

I should be sleeping. We have enough tarps to stay dry tonight, but that's the problem. If Bylaw shows up first thing then there's to much to tear down quickly. We'll get taped. Lose everything again.The things that keep you up at night.

Bylaw stealing my bike. They said I was obstructing the road by having my things in a parking spot packed. So I complied and moved it off the road. Then they said I was blocking the sidewalk. As I tried to comply and move my things they did this.

I'd like to say thanks for my Street Family. Especially the ones who despite all the negativity they receive. Still prove them wrong with positive strength. Like my sister here cleaning up around her block and trying to give a little back.

There's no chance for someone after last night's rain to pack there belongings. Cold, hungry sleep deprived and alone this is City of Victoria Idea of compassion. What about the Law to Accomodate? Is She not privellage to Fairness and Equality ? Under the Law?

Wait a minute. There is not enough shelter space. Then I have the right to erect temporary shelter. (Adams Vs Victoria 2008).

I went to go get my bike back. Not only would they not give it back they told me it was disposed of for being inoperable. There was nothing wrong with it. I objected they called the police who then arrested me for "causing a disturbance" Arrested for having my bike stolen.

The Zen of homelessness. The feeling of letting go of everything because it cannot be kept. Destroyed by weather, impounded,stolen.Cold and wet. Laugh or cry. The street humbles.

Just accepted it's 7 in a soaked tent. Everything is wet. Soaked to the skin. Shoes that squish. It's not the worst thing. Bylaw suddenly taping you off before you have a chance to shake it all off is stress. Clothes stuck to us we don't want to move.Just to be warm. Fat chance.

Learning the ways of the Bylaw officers. They are not following basic rules and procedures purposely. Learning there procedures has proven invaluable. They are overstepping there authority regularly. Filing first complaints today. There going to need secretarial reinforcement.

Just want to say thank you to the STS delivery team. These guys go beyond there duty to get Meds to people who need them. Have struggles. Ain't are not easy to find. This is not a promotion this is gratitude. Thanks for going above and beyond.
