An excellent morning with athlete Jade Windley leading the 2nd Active in Mind session to our Y10s. They enjoyed The Cube style team building activities, they explored their learnt tools to support their wellbeing and we finished off with some social short tennis. Thank you Jade.

The Year 8’s came out victorious this evening and claimed the bragging rights for KS3 inter-school football.

A huge congratulations to our Year 7 boys Basketball team for winning the Grimsby & District CVL hosted by NELSSP.

We’re immensely proud of their achievement but more importantly, their behaviour and conduct on the night.

Last night the Year 7/8 Boys Football team represented Beacon at the local secondary school CVL event winning games against Cleethorpes Academy, Ormiston Maritime and Ormiston Immingham securing 2nd place out of 5 overall. Well done to all and thank you staff.

Today Emily, a yoga and creative therapy specialist from ‘Creative Therapy: for children and young people’, joined us during lunch time to support the wellbeing of our ‘Active in Mind’ mentees as part of our ongoing Youth Sport Trust programme. This was a very informative session.
