Good to hear again this week from James Brown of “Off the Record”, a local charity helping young people who find themselves lost and in dark places.

What a privilege to be joined today by Proclaimers guitarist and next door neighbour in Bath to one of our members, Mr Zac Ware. Zac entertained us with some superb electric guitar playing and explained how the ensemble and creating music together is what really inspires him.

Zac is the son of Charlie Ware’s Morris Minor Centre which sadly closed its doors in 2011 ! Former property developer Charles Ware set the business up in 1976 and originally operated from Bath. Over the years the centre kept scores of Minors on the road !

Many thanks to David Hall from BRLSI, the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution, for joining the Mayor of Bath and BATA yesterday for the annual ceremonial striking of the Alkmaar Gong. The gong was a gift from Alkmaar to Bath in 1947 and now resides in the Guildhall.
