Last night's 'Leap into Literacy' event was fun and informative. Families learned about our Reading AIS program, our Book Bowl winner and played lots of literacy activities. Thank you to our staff who helped out!

Our 3rd grade field trip to the ice rink had our students showing grit, perseverance and support towards classmates. Thank you to the David McCarthy Memorial Ice Arena for hosting us!

The STEAM Paul Bunyan breakfast 🥞 for 2nd grade was so delicious! Plus students did STEAM challenges, showed artwork and sang songs. Our specials' teachers collaborate to make this an extra special event!

4th grade visited BOCES to check out trades and jobs that interest them as part of our STEAM class!

So excited to have Grace Lin as our visiting author today. It has been fun to share with our students that she and I went to the same school and celebrate how much she has accomplished in her career.

Our One Book, One School celebration of The Chocolate Touch was "sweet"! Candy salads, handmade chocolate from 4th graders, outdoor morning announcements and a whole lot of fun.

Bravo to the 3rd and 4th grade Orchestra and Band! Their Spring concert was excellent! Thank you Mrs. Gilebarto and Mr. McLean for your work with our musicians!

Big day at JK! Jackson Primary students visited so they could check out what 2nd grade will be like next year. And we had our own students as tour guides! Plus, the 4th Grade Energy Fair was this afternoon and was a a carnival of fun!

Congratulations to our 4th graders who will be joining BMS next year. Today we held their Moving Up ceremony at JK!

We will miss our students so much! They had a heartfelt send off at today's dismissal. Be safe, responsible and respectful all summer long!

Some of our Innovation Camp students performed a fabulous Talent Show at The Manor House today for the residents. They showed off their talents as part of our Community Outreach group!

Really glad to spend a great week of learning and planning with our teacher leaders to lead our efforts for continual improvement to ensure high levels of learning for all of our students.

So proud to welcome our new 4th Grade Mentors. They had a great day of training and are ready to help us welcome everyone back to JK this year!
