Brad B made a big show of NOT telling the Senate how big a profit his shareholders are making but he ignored the suffering of ordinary Australians skipping meals and medical visits so he and his friends can get richer. We Greens want a divestment power to ensure fair competition.

Tanya Plibersek and Labor want us to conveniently forget that when it comes to environmental legislation reform, they've kicked the can down the road.

Without changes to these laws we will continue to see ecosystems destroyed.

This is a crisis, and Labor's response is shameful.

Labor and the Liberals are backing big supermarkets and their price gouging by refusing to support the Greens push to introduce the power to break up the big supermarkets and give shoppers a better deal. Dutton has vetoed the Greens bill, and Labor have refused to support it.

Labor wants to delay the wage rise for aged care workers by up to 2 years in order to stop childcare and NDIS workers from switching jobs and leaving shortages in other areas. These are some of the lowest paid insecure jobs in our economy. Everyone deserves a living wage NOW!

We heard evidence this week of the need for a whistle blower authority to provide advice and support.

Because where would we be without whistle blowers? They risk their livelihoods and their wellbeing to expose corruption and wrongdoing with little or no protection from the law.

With the worrying news that SA Labor is backing nuclear waste for our state and that Peter Dutton’s nuclear agenda has the support of a right-wing billionaire, we are once again walking a knife-edge between a clean green energy future and the poisonous legacy of nuclear waste.

As regional tensions rise, Richard Marles plans to cut Defence programs to pay for US subs that may never arrive & UK subs that are 20 years away. He also plans to kill local industry programs to fund the $10B he’s pouring into US/UK industry. 🤦‍♂️ news.com.au/finance/econom…

The Right to Disconnect has attracted criticism from Peter Dutton and business groups, who say it's bad for productivity.

They may need to learn some basic maths, because they couldn't be more wrong.

Centre for Future Work Director Dr Jim Stanford explains.

There is NO safe permanent storage for nuke sub waste anywhere. AUKUS is the Trojan horse for an Australian ‘solution’? No. No. No. theguardian.com/world/2024/apr…

I hope you're enjoying the long weekend. I need a break from the nuke spruikers trying to convince us that nuclear submarines is a good idea. The AUKUS deal is being sold as a boost for job and skills. We can create a better, safer, more secure future by investing in green jobs.
