After venturing up the Norwegian coast to #Longyearbyen, our friends aboard the 🇬🇧🇳🇴research vessel Barba have begun their circumvention of #Svalbard. They will now spend 3 weeks off the grid en route to the island #JanMayen, continuing to collect #Arctic scientific data.

While circumnavigating Svalbard, Andreas and Arzucan Askin FRGS filled up five Ocean Bottle with seawater that Barba will take to London. Ocean bottles are made of #recycled material - when you buy one, you fund the collection of 1000 ocean-bound plastic bottles in weight.
