Today was P5-P7’s turn to make the most of the nice weather and eat outside. The fresh country air really does make us feel better.

Yesterday we surprised Mrs Downie with a presentation from the children to celebrate her retirement from teaching. Part of the fun included a video made of the funniest memories and giving her, her first ever medals! We will miss you so much Mrs D!

Members of the Health Promotion Group had a quick trip over to Camphill Schools to see the final stages of our Buddy Bench which is being crafted by some of the students. Pupils got to try the bench for size and learn about the woodworking process. Camphill Aberdeen Love Learning Aberdeenshire

Last Wednesday was the first Forest School session of the new term and what fun was had. From making traps, to rolling logs and building towers, we showed problem solving, creativity, communication and teamwork skills all while playing.

In forest school this week, we made clay mushrooms inspired by all the different ones we found on the forest floor as well as balancing on rope bridges and den building
