Attacks Target Afghanistan’s Hazaras

Taliban, the usual culprits behind targeted attacks on Hazaras, have failed to offer adequate protection or aid to survivors. In their previous regime, they massacred Hazaras.

Any assumption otherwise would be naive. hrw.org/news/2024/05/0…

Not only is it troubling that you fail to specifically recognise the victims as Hazaras, but utterly disgraceful. This oversight downplays the targeted nature of the attacks against them, obscuring the specific vulnerabilities faced by Hazaras in Afghanistan.

It is imperative to identify and highlight the intersectionality of identities in speaking about the victims of these brutal, deliberate attacks. Hazaras are systematically targeted based on their ethnic and religious identities, amplifying their vulnerability to such atrocities.

They are Hazara and were in western Kabul, where most arrests occur (subsequently, mainly in Khair Khana). We need to discuss crimes intersectionality. It helps us understand the complex layers of violence, ensuring a more comprehensive approach to addressing Afghanistan issue.
