The team were tasked along with our colleagues Achill Island Coast Guard and Rescue 118 at 2.17am on Friday morning assist An Garda Síochána in the search for a missing person. Shortly after 4.30am the person was located safe and well. Well done to all involved,great team work.

We were tasked by MRSC Malin to secure a HLS for (ﾀﾋ亡) at the scene of a multiple car RTC near Bangor Erris. HSE ambulance requested their assistance to transfer one of the casualties to UCHG. Well done to all the agencies who attended at the scene.

Last evening our volunteers in the Ballyglass Coast Guard Unit received their Long Service Medals from Niall Ferns CGU&S and Dermot Hickey CUSM. Niall thanked the team for their dedication, commitment and service.

Ballyglass Coast Guard Search & Drone Unit were tasked on Christmas eve at 20.40 following reports from members of the public who sighted a Red Flare in the sky on the inner side of Broadhaven Bay towards Belmullet.A detailed search of the area was carried out. Nothing to report.

Our team of volunteers were tasked at 4.54am following a request from Belmullet Gardaí to assist them in the search for a person reported missing. @Rescue118 were also tasked. A detailed search of the area was carried out. At 8.30am person located safe and well.

Ballyglass Coast Guard Unit celebrated their 100th year Anniversary. Minister Jack Chambers praised all the volunteers for their commitment and support. Following the unveiling of a plaque, the minister presented our OIC Michael G Hurst with his 20 year service medal🏅

On Sunday last at 00.45am our team were tasked to reports of a person in the water near Belmullet. It turned out to be a Hoax call, this was the second Hoax call in a week. Hoax calls puts the lives of the emergency services at risk and a waste of valuable time and resources.

On Tuesday 20th May, the Irish Coast Guard and @Ballyglass RNLI came together for a vital joint exercise at Ballyglass RNLI Station. The session included toolbox demonstrations for jet skis, wind surfing, and kite surfing, ensuring crews are prepared for all rescue scenarios.
