Nero, Gold Aureus, AD 54-68. Estimate: £5,000-7,000 (Lot 199. 29th May) The Colossus of Nero was an enormous statue depicting the Emperor as the Sun God and it’s likely that this coin depicts this monument and represents one of the few images of the now-lost statue. #Romancoins
