Co-op students from York Region DSB and seven other school boards did a great job presenting pitches for their carefully thought out apps to industry professionals Apple Canada. These types of partnerships support students in exploring their skills and interests. YRDSB Pathways

Students from York Region DSB celebrated the end of their Co-op Experience in a showcase for App Development with Swift XCode. Each of the students worked with business and technical mentors throughout the semester to develop an app to solve a real world problem!

Students in Grades 7-12 from 15 elementary schools & 24 secondary schools York Region DSB attended “Level Up!”to learn about Ontario’s 140+ trades. It was a wonderful surprise to see Middlefield CI grad, S. Javed, teaching students as a program manager in the Skills Ontario mobile class!

The Pathways team supported The Shoebox Project for Women by putting together gift boxes that included everyday essentials and small luxuries for women impacted by homelessness. Hoping it brings a little bit of joy to the women who receive them ❤️

YRDSB students in the Black Excellence Entrepreneurship Co-op program attended a Lunch & Learn at YSpace with founders from the Venture Catalyst program. Students are mentored by the Black Entrepreneurship Alliance and will kick start their own businesses!

Students and families gathered today to learn about post secondary pathways through a family engagement event organized by ASGC in partnership with YRDSB Pathways, ISCS YRDSB 🏳️‍🌈 & ETSS Uukkamathu Kaividale ஊக்கமது கைவிடேல். Teachers from elementary and secondary came together to learn about experiential learning. Thank you to all the educators who came out, took risks, laughed and reflected on ways they can integrate experiential learning with their students!

NEKS invites Korean families and students to a community engagement night on April 11, 2024. Families will have an opportunity learn how to support their child, and to attend workshops that cover transitions into secondary schools, post secondary pathways, and student services!
