When Force Met Fluorescence…👯♀️ Was grateful for the opportunity to write (and 🧑🏻🎨) this review with LiuLab_Rockefeller. Check it out!
🚀 News from the Deindl Lab at Uppsala University! Our latest paper introduces MUSCLE, a new method for high-throughput single-molecule analysis, now featured in Science. 🧬🔬 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… Science Magazine KAW European Research Council (ERC) SciLifeLab
Our paper on MeCP2 is now published NatureStructMolBiol ! rdcu.be/dRqUn Read the Research Briefing rdcu.be/dRLZf or tweetorial from Gabriella Chua 👇for a summary of the study. And big thanks to the reviewers and editors for their efforts on improving our manuscript.
New findings from LiuLab_Rockefeller provide insight into a master regulator of gene expression, and could open up new avenues for Rett syndrome therapies. #RockefellerScience rockefeller.edu/news/36409-new…
We are pleased to share our latest preprint on bioRxiv! Led by graduate student Lauren Vostal, we use chemical proteomics to profile VCP-DUB interactions in living cells. We identify DUBs that bind the entry, exit, or both sites of VCP's central pore. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Using the @LUMICKS C-Trap, the lab of LiuLab_Rockefeller provided unprecedented, real-time insights into the binding behavior of MeCP2, a protein linked to Rett syndrome, across methylated and unmethylated DNA and nucleosomes. lumicks.com/revealing-mecp…
Very happy to share our new review in Molecular Cell covering nucleic acid recognition and effector mechanisms for various prokaryotic immune systems! Was a great experience creating this with @MarraffiniLab! cell.com/molecular-cell…
Scientists in the Alushin_Lab have figured out how cells build a structure that lets them migrate. Unpacking these “finger-like” protein bundles that protrude from cells may lead to novel treatments for metastasis. #RockefellerScience bit.ly/3PKErmA
Some happy news. Pleased to see our paper showing how afadin strengthens cytoskeletal engagement by the cadherin-catenin cell adhesion complex out in Science Advances : bit.ly/3EFpD6h
Vostal et al Kapoor Lab Rockefeller University report two structures of complexes formed by VCP, an unfoldase, & VCPIP1, a deubiquitinase, & suggest that VCPIP1 is poised to cleave #ubiquitin from protein substrates that translocate through VCP’s central pore hubs.la/Q03bV3G00
Our work on single-molecule visualization of mammalian transcription elongation is online NatureStructMolBiol today! Check out the open-access paper rdcu.be/eR257 to see how Pol II acts as a multi-speed machine🚗We are thankful for our collaborators Rockefeller University FuDan University🙏
