Big, important thread alert: There is a lot going on in Europe that feels like it's coming to a head soon... probably by the end of the summer. The EU economy is in mild recession...

True. P/Es are value traps at the peak of an economic cycle. But they aren't even cheap this time around. Earnings meltdown coming soon.

Maximum Bearish sentiment right now from investors. Rarely if ever does this reading hit 0. Buying things at 0 has worked out pretty well for me in the long term. As bad as things feel right now, the markets are aware of " that feeling." Focus on the future-will be better than 0.

A DeFi / liquidity mining analogy: eBay but you get a little eBay stock when you buy/sell stuff. And stockholders get to vote on things like adding new product categories. And if enough people use eBay then eBay can’t fuck over its users later because the users are the owners.

The Ether asset is the ultimate crypto index. Holding eth gives you exposure to defi, stablecoins, nfts, gaming, and everything else happening on eth. The more those succeed the more eth goes up.

Too few realize how disruptive to USD reserve status cross-border CBDC TXs could be. Per Ian Allison's story yesterday: "...smart contracts automatically managed the EUR/SGD exchange rate in line with real-time market transactions and demands" coindesk.com/france-tests-c…

The obvious surprise here is the shift to remote-first: from 6% to 42% in just one year. The less obvious surprise is that SF has lost less of its appeal than other cities. LA's appeal is down 75%, and Seattle's 90%.
