The niche market has halved from 2012 to about £55m. So key question should be what’s the police internal spend now compared to 2012? House of Lords

Do the accreditation standards equally apply to CSI scene work and fingerprint work? It’s key all practitioners follow the FSR codes. House of Lords

Why police not fully accredited - yet we had a FSR since 2008 - that’s 10 years ago. If the police could work together that would help for consistency and hopefully quality. House of Lords

Great week, really enjoyed talking to final year forensic science students UCLan Forensic Sciences about why ‘forensic’ is so important and it’s impact on our science at the scene, in the lab and at Court. I enjoyed the interactive quiz at the end.

Listening to House of Lords Forensic Science review - talking about research. The elephant in the room how to make research top down rather than bottom up - doing what people like as opposed to what the investigators and courts need #UKHouseofLords

So looking forward to the CSFS Ball to celebrate its 60years. Exciting evening planned and I understand there are still tickets. Why not get together and book a table, go on splash out and enjoy. csofs.org/Events/The-Cha…

It’s nearly June, and that means the CSFS Ball - csofs.org/Events/The-Cha… it promises to be a great night. There’s still time to book your tickets. CSoFS

I've #justsponsored my daughter AJ and Chris Rankin-Wright, who's fundraising for Coeliac UK on JustGiving. Hear their story and then find out what your diet is like with coeliac disease and being gluten free. A donation, no matter how small can help. justgiving.com/fundraising/AJ…

On the 31/3/2022 it will be 10 years since the official closure of the FSS. Some will say good riddens but there will be some, like me, who view the loss of 6 integrated, fully accredited forensic labs, a research facility as a tragedy. How our forensic industry has changed.

Was it really said on BBC1 Question time last night (17th March) that Marks and Spencer are still operating in Russia? Surely that can’t be true, can it?
