Macklin didn’t show much on British debut at Chipley Park but looked a completely different horse over this much sharper test when taking the Conditions race in comfortable fashion. Paloma Blue ran well in second under a penalty

Enjoyable afternoon at Charlton Horethorne where the star of the show was Viroflay who bolted up by a wide margin in the Mixed Open under Olive Nicholls. Bar running wide on a bend early on, the result was never really in doubt and they strolled clear after 3 out
