The waning crescent Moon will appear close to the ringed-planet Saturn over the next 24 hours. The event is best seen in the pre-dawn sky with closest approach at 16h UT on May 22nd. Saturn is currently at magnitude 1.1 and its rings are almost edge-on as viewed from Earth. 🔭
