So proud of my girl today as she competed in her first official beach volleyball match versus the College of Charleston. She and her partner, Emily, were up 6-1 in the third set when their match was stopped due to time restraints. Go Bears!

Due to an injury, Katy played with a a new partner, JoMo, from Colorado. Although they lost 13-21, 16-21 these two freshman played great against South Carolina who is ranked 18th in the AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll. Here is Katy getting a block against those Gamecocks.

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Donnie Drew. Mr. Drew served as the Principal at CHS for 34 years, and through the years, the Athletic Director and Softball Coach. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he has touched throughout the years. Rest In Peace

After losing the first set and being down in the second, Katy and JoMo came back strong to take the second set from Jacksonville University and the third 15-13. They beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers in two on Friday. Go Bears, Bear Down!

Ten years ago today, Kale received a second chance at life by the grace of God, Ms. Barbara’s “magical marrow”, and the great people at CHOA and Be the Match. Happy 10th Birthday, Kale. We love you so much buddy! What a difference a decade makes.
