No surprise that only two plants were #flowering up here, but it was lovely to see classic #Pinewood understory species Ling Heather (Calluna vulgaris) & Bell Heather (Erica cinerea)!

A great inter-generational #NewYearPlantHunt today to finish things off, with 8 hunters aged 2 to considerably older searching round our village, and 28 spp. found in flower! Highlights were American Speedwell and Keel-fruited Cornsalad, both recent additions to the village flora
