Next up is Juhi Parmar from BASIC LAB at Universität Jena. Juhi made a leap from the clinical realm into Exp psych after her Master's from Bangor University in Emotion processing in schizophrenia w EEG. Presently, she studies the role of Affective Consequences in binding and retrieval.
For Day3 of #PhDIntro we stay in Jena introducing Mrudula Arunkumar also from BASIC LAB in Universität Jena. After pursuing CognitiveNeuroscience & Psycholinguistics from Donders Institute & MaxPlanck-Psycholinguistics, Mrudula is now branching out and exploring how stimulus response bindings can explain learning.
Next in our #PhDIntro is Silvia Selimi from Frings Lab Trier at Universität Trier. During her Master’s at Bielefeld University, she investigated the effects of expectancy on attention. Now she studies how multiple independent actions form more complex actions.
On Day5 of our #PhDIntro we stay Universität Trier and Frings Lab Trier. For his Master’s @PSchmalbrock_TR investigated attention & expectancy Bielefeld University. Now he investigates how visual input affects how we plan and execute actions.
Project 1/2 at Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg 🏰🍷🍇: @MockeViola studies binding in action planning, that is, how we mentally represent an action before any motor activity occurs 💭🔜💃. Before BRAC, Viola graduated in Social Cognition at UCL and focused on the empirical study of deception 🧐
Project 2/2 at Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg: Anna (bit.ly/3ozn0XF) investigates with Roland (roland-pfister.net) how agents represent errors. Teaser: It’s all about future success! These guys also care about intended deviations: lies, cheats and violations.
Next in #PhDIntro is Ruyi Qiu from Universität Passau. She investigated emotion processing and consumer behavior using EEG/ERP in her undergraduate and master years at Tsinghua University. Now she is exploring contextual modulation on binding and retrieval.
And last but not least in #PhDIntro, @MoSchiwo who recently moved from Universität Freiburg to Universität Tübingen. His research focuses on whether mental states of cognitive control are also subject to binding and retrieval processes.
In the upcoming weeks, we will give you a sneak peek of each of our projects 🧑🏫 #BRACpsy. Shout-out to Mike Morrison for his helpful overview on how to do a #twitterposter 🙌: youtube.com/watch?v=fQDL8r…
Sneak a peek into our project at RWTH Aachen about Binding of Context Features in Task-Switching👩💻 Are you multitasking right now? Well, beware of that flower pot on your desk...🪴🍵 #twitterposter #BRACpsy #twitterposter #scicomm Elena Benini
Watch the #twitterposter below for a short recap of our findings Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg on how agents represent errors! You can read about that in detail in our preprint at osf.io/vdc6n #BRACpsy #scicomm
Have you ever wanted to do something🎮, but had to do something else before📚? Check out this #twitterposter to find out how cognitive psychologists Amber Hammack investigate how planned actions are mentally stored! 🧠🔍 #BRACpsy #twitterposter #scicomm @MockeViola
#PhD #retreat in Freudenberg. Thank you Dr. Robert Wirth from Universität Würzburg #UniWürzburg for the moving workshop on movement tracking!
The DFG public | @[email protected] will provide funding for the research group Binding and Retrieval in Action Control (BRAC) for another three years! uni-trier.de/universitaet/n…
Ever wondered what’s behind partial repetition costs? #violaMocke Elena Benini Juhi Parmar @MoSchiwo & #wilfriedKunde tried to get to the bottom of it 🔍🙌🏻 Find out for yourself here: link.springer.com/article/10.375… #cogsci #cogpsy #srbr
