We are becoming more and more competent when giving calculating change from different amounts. 💰 👍🏼

For Health & Wellbeing, we have been learning about looking after babies. 👶🏼 We can describe the basic needs of a baby, for example, cuddling, washing, changing, feeding and sleeping. 🍼 💤

Today we explored the artwork of James Rizzi. We used his work as inspiration to create our own pieces, drawing our local area, Bonnybridge, whilst mirroring his style. 🖼 🖍

We have started to explore the cardboard engineering resource Makedo. After familiarising ourselves with the tools, some of us were so enthusiastic to challenge ourselves! We applied our prior knowledge of James Rizzi’s building designs to make our own James Rizzi house. 🏠#stem

To understand the movement of a rocket when it blasts off and propels into space, we wanted to investigate the force of thrust . We used air as a gas to propel our rocket balloon from A to B! 🚀 #STEM

We have been engaging in purposeful, real world writing by writing postcards to our French friends in Créteil. We can’t wait to post them! 💌📮 Falkirk1+2 🇫🇷 ✏️

We have been learning about Capacity. 🫙We enjoyed comparing the amount that various containers can hold through investigative play. After demonstrating our understanding during our task, some of us chose to challenge ourselves by engaging in a capacity word problem quiz. ⭐️

We were applying our knowledge of measure today whilst baking cakes. 😋

Bakers in the morning and engineers in the afternoon… We have been designing and building rockets. 🚀 Ask us all about the skills that we’ve been developing through these leaning experiences. 👍🏼 😁
