We have had some luck in Andros, collecting data for our 'Nutritional Stress' project to assess body condition and document pregnancies of Blainville's beaked whales, working with, Leigh Hickmott. We also a 'killer tomato' used for target practice and returned it to the navy.

We have collected some more data for our 'Nutritional Stress' project in Andros working with our colleague, Leigh Hickmott, credit for some of the photos. We also found some more dolphins in Fresh Creek, and in non-boating weather have enjoyed the natural beauty of the island

Our first Whale Camp was a great success, as we learnt from a wonderful presentation the campers gave on their final night summarising their experience. What a fantastic group! Moore Charitable

Yesterday we retrieved and redeployed our recorders in the Sea of Abaco that are documenting dolphin presence and ambient noise, assessing the current status of the dolphin population impacted by hurricane Dorian. Thank you to Journey, a current BESS scholar BREEF

Nice encounter yesterday. Conducting research of beaked whales for our Vital Rates project addressing reproductive success and other vital life functions. This work includes using any skin samples collected for an epigenetics study to compare biological to chronological age.

We are back in the Sea of Abaco assessing the current status of the dolphin population impacted by hurricane Dorian. We encountered 15 individual animals. There were three mother-calf pairs and eight of the dolphins are in our catalogue, one first documented here in 1992!
