'Wes Streeting still doesn't understand why resident doctors are on strike' ✍️ Jack Fletcher for LBC Opinion lbc.co.uk/article/wes-st…
As our resident doctor ballot opens in🏴 today, it's great to have the support of RDC Chair Jack Fletcher from the picket line in London. We stand with colleagues in 🏴 and thank them for their support. Residents in Scotland, take Jack's advice - vote early and vote yes!
“We find ourselves in an absurd situation.” Callum Parr has spoken to BBC News on why resident doctors in England are left with no choice but strike action
Joined by many resident doctors at St Thomas’ today. Frustration is growing amongst doctors as Wes Streeting refuses to meaningfully address dr unemployment and has suggested a real terms pay cut for 2026. The Government can end the strikes; put a credible offer on the table.
“Patients need doctors and doctors need jobs” Today, we've written to Wes Streeting to ask the Government to resume talks – and work with us to agree a viable deal on pay and jobs. Without movement on both, we’ll be left with no choice but to return to the picket lines.
Congratulations to the hospital workers at St George's, Epsom and St Helier who organised through United Voices of the World and won! BMA London is proud to have stood in solidarity with you! ✊🏼 #UnionsWin #SolidarityForever #UnityIsStrength
