We need to crack down on my school’s dress code. Every day, I have students in my grade 3 class coming to school dressed in inappropriate and rebellious attire. I feel that I am failing as a educator in having a positive influence on the next generation! 😂

I may be dating myself for Day 2 of the For the Love of Reading Twitter Challenge (Time-Hop Tuesday). I loved to read Curious George in grade one. My mom said I brought it home every day. As I got older, I enjoyed the Freddy the Pig and Hardy Boys series. #TVDSBLiteracy

My grade 3’s listened to “Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut”. The boy in the story felt confident and great after getting a haircut. My students made connections to the story by sharing a time when they felt confident or great about something. Valleyview Public School #BlackExcellenceTVDSB

47 years ago (February 7, 1976), I remember watching Darryl Sittler's 10 point night (6 goals and 4 assists) as a young boy. Quite the accomplishment which has stood the test of time (Not even Gretzky was able to break it!). I hope that your record never gets beaten, Darryl!
