Ava Kelley of Boonville was voted the Courier & Press Athlete of the Week for May 19-24. The junior was a sectional champion in four events (100, 200, long jump, 4x100) for the Pioneers. Kelley qualified for state in the 100 and 200 on Tuesday.

We will have a State Finals Send-Off For Ava and Jordan at noon tomorrow. We will be leaving from the high school stadium parking lot and making a lap around the square. Please come out and help us send these two off in style!

Ava got a few starts in for her practice today before her race on Saturday at the IHSAA State finals!

Ava runs 6th in her 100 heat getting off an impressive year in the 100 including conference and sectional championships with a conference meet record. She has the 200 coming up next
