Trying to steer away from the negatives, take a break & look at the positives. Ziggy in Greenwich Foot Tunnel. It’s a great place for photo opportunities & features in #111PlacesGreenwich #Photography #PhotographyMatters

Longstanding community champion to run for the Greens in Shooters Hill ā€œTo deal with anti social behaviour & knife crime we need more safe spaces & youth centres. The Scouts need a secure home & the property at Shrewsbury House would be a potential venue.ā€ greenwichandbexley.greenparty.org.uk/2025/05/24/lon…

A new council report lifts the lid on where and how UK Shared Prosperity funding will be spent in Greenwich borough. fromthemurkydepths.co.uk/2025/05/27/cut…

Shocking that it's far easier for Royal Borough of Greenwich to create new plantingĀ at Cutty Sark Gardens + a photoĀ op rather than provide regular maintenance! What about toilets or new lifts at the foot tunnel instead of wasting money on another PR exercise?! Escalate Now Cutty Sark DLR

I mean even in Bromley a developer would be paying the authority nearly £5m CIL payments. That Greenwich can only gain £2.5m for a development in zone 2 near the DLR, Thameslink + SE Metro and beside a World Heritage site & the river is ridiculous. And residents lose out again

Great informative video!ā€People needed a faster way to get across the Thames for workā€.Today an estimated 4,000 people use it every day. It needs to be fully accessible. ⁦Royal Borough of Greenwich⁩ ⁦Tower Hamlets Council⁩ ⁦TfL⁩ ⁦Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan⁩ instagram.com/reel/DGTgdyHt2…

Just heard announcement loud and clear at Canary Wharf station saying Cutty Sark DLR will close until next spring to replace all four escalators. So proud to have led a community campaign with incredible people! #PeoplePower #CommunityDriven #CommunityEngagement Escalate Now Cutty Sark DLR

In July 2024 Greenwich Council launched ā€˜Our Greenwich’ & pledged to ā€˜transform community engagement’ yet it silenced an elected councillor over the Equestrian Centre for speaking up on behalf of residents! Please sign and share the petition šŸ™šŸ¼ change.org/p/greenwich-la…

Having councillors who live in the ward they are representing is a really good thing. Good luck Tamasin from all at SHGP šŸ’š #VoteGreen #GetGreensElected

Ivis is highly valued by her residents.I was at that council meeting in March and was so impressed with the way she stood up for her constituents, a breath of fresh air! Greenwich Council talks the talk in the article below but are they really listening? royalgreenwich.gov.uk/news/2024/coun…

A highly informative and well-searched article by Murky Depths. We need Greens on the council to hold them to account on how they spend monies allocated to the borough, whether that's community funds, CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) or anything else!Greens are up to the job!

Greenwich Green Party Murky Depths The council has allowed the gap between community infrastructure and new development to become a chasm. Royal Borough of Greenwich. Greenwich Green Party statement in 2023: greenwichandbexley.greenparty.org.uk/2023/09/20/res…

It’s still too early to tell for the long term, but journalists would be better going in the afternoon rush hours to see what we are witnessing, more congestion heading south to Eltham. And more congestion in Woolwich, Rotherhithe etc.

Karin Tearle It is a real shame when councillors are not listening to their residents and responding accordingly. That is what #CommunityEngagement is about.

On the morning commute from Greenwich to Island Gardens I spoke to commuters & parents on cross river school run + a Lime Bike agent. This is a crucial link for residents north & south of the river. It’s time for an efficient, accessible river crossing with fully working lifts.
